The WordPress platform makes many things about a website or blog easy, and customizing your visitors’ experience by choosing to turn comments off or to allow comments for any given page on your site is no exception. Here’s a quick tutorial:

  1. Go to the main list of pages in your dashboard
  2. Hover over a title and click “Quick Edit”

Could you please add something: After turning off the comments, how does one get rid of the “Comments are closed.” line that gets added to the page/post…?

Would make your article just that little extra good…!

    thanks

Hi would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m planning to
start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique.
P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

Hi Marianne. I’m on a WordPress.com (not .org) setup with upgrades of a custom domain name and customized theme. Having used Drupal and other content management systems, I can’t recommend WordPress enough. It’s almost too easy.
